Watwet is a small startup based out in Amman, Jordan. We focus on social networking, citizen media and mobile. Watwet is wholly owned by TootCorp, which owns Ikbis.com, the biggest video and photo sharing site in the Middle East, and itoot.net, a famous blog aggregator covering the Arab World.

Kareem Arafat - Founder & CEO

Karim is 29 years old. He lived most of his life in Amman, but also lived for short periods in Japan, Canada, England and Italy. Karim spends most of his time talking to mobile operators and media companies, refining the business model of Watwet, and contributing to the product development. He has grew a lot of white hair trying to persuade mobile operators to partner up with Watwet! He is interested mostly in new mobile trends, web standards and creating partnerships.


Andreas
Andreas Pieper - Founder & CTO

You can call him, Andi. Andi is 40 years old. He currently resides in the beautiful city of Berlin. Originally he is from Austria, which explains his sharp sense of humor. Using his Macbook, Andi spends most of his time applying his magic, skill and experience to the Watwet code base, integrations with mobile operators' networks and administrating our small farm of servers. He is a big proponent of open source technologies, and has been doing Ruby on Rails for the past 4 years. Recently he has been interested in Erlang and developing for the iPhone. On a personal level, he really enjoys F1 and robotics.


Waheed
Waheed Barghouthi - Ruby on Rails Developer

Waheed is 23 year old. He ditched .NET framework because he just fell in love with Ruby on Rails. Waheed fires up his MacOS every day to spend most of his time developing over the Watwet code base, and by doing this, he is growing day by day to be a bigger beliver in the power of Rails. He is developing interest in Python for mobiles and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Lately he has been contributing back to the Rails community. He is also working on a few personal side projects related to citizen media and mobile services.
